At New Life MCC, we are just regular folks who believe that God’s Love is for ALL people. We are delighted you found us on the web and as you explore the information provided here, we hope that it is helpful for wherever you are in life at this moment. We also hope you get a sense of who we are and of just how much sharing God’s love together has made both a real difference in our lives and given us a genuine desire to want to do the same for others.
Please know that you are always welcome to join us for worship or any of the other activitites we do together. Until then, we wish you God’s blessings and look forward to meeting you sometime soon!
Ø Two Special Announcements from the New Life MCC Board of Directors:
CANDIDATE FOR SETTLED PASTOR:
As Reverend Mark Byrd’s contract as our Interim Pastor comes to a close at the end of October, the Board of Directors (in a unanimous decision and in consultation with appropriate MCC denominational staff) has voted to present Pastor Mark as the candidate to be our next settled pastor. What this means now is that a Special Congregational Forum and Potluck Luncheon has been scheduled for Saturday November 2 at 11:00 a.m. for the purpose of allowing everyone to talk with and ask questions of Pastor Mark and to participate in an open church-wide discussion at this very important and exciting time in the life of NLMCC. Then, following worship on Sunday November 3 (and just before the “regular” Congregational Forum already scheduled for that day) , there will be a SPECIAL CALLED CONGREGATIONAL MEETING for the purpose of voting on whether to call Pastor Mark as our next pastor.
MINISTER OF LATINO & COMMUNITY OUTREACH:
Almost a year to the day after it was initially denied, USCIS (immigration) has approved our request for a Religious Workers visa for Rev. Alberto Najera to serve as our Minister for Latino and Community Outreach. We are excited to officially welcome Rev. Alberto to the NLMCC staff.
This is a very important and exciting time for everyone at New Life MCC.
May we all continue in prayer as God’s Spirit continues to lead us forward!
